Esperanza Showcases ESPG Digital Gold at Cyberport Venture & Capital Forum 2026
After a year of regulatory milestones in Hong Kong and Singapore, the group presents its gold-backed ESPG to investors at Cyberport’s flagship forum

Hong Kong, 26 October 2026
Following the registration of Esperanza Fintech (Commodities) Limited Singapore Branch with Singapore’s Ministry of Law to provide gold-backed token services, Esperanza¹ is delighted to present ESPG digital gold at the Cyberport Venture & Capital Forum 2026 (CVCF 2026), Cyberport’s flagship annual forum for investors and founders, held at Cyberport on 4–5 November under the theme “Scaling in a Changing World: Winning the Next Competitive Cycle”. Last year’s forum drew more than 2,700 participants and more than 280 investors. Esperanza’s virtual booth in the forum’s Innovator Showcase is open now until 16 November, with a short video that walks visitors through how ESPG digital gold works, from buying and holding to transferring and redeeming it for physical gold.
ESPG (a certificate of instalment payments under a digital gold instalment plan) takes Hong Kong’s traditional gold instalment club from paper to digital. Clients buy any amount and build up units over time, transfer them between verified accounts in seconds or sell them back, and can redeem 100,000 ESPG for one 1 kg gold bar (99.99% purity). Every unit is recorded on a public blockchain. ESPG is issued by Esperanza Fintech (Commodities) Limited, and its Singapore Branch serves the public in Singapore and Hong Kong. The issuer is registered with Hong Kong Customs and Excise as a Category A Dealer in Precious Metals and Stones and permitted to issue, redeem and trade precious-asset-backed instruments².
The forum closes a year in which Esperanza put each part of its business on a regulated footing. In February, the Securities and Futures Commission permitted Esperanza Fintech (Securities) Limited, licensed for Type 4 and Type 9 regulated activities, to conduct fund tokenisation³; five concert investment projects for professional investors have since been completed. On 1 October, the Singapore Branch’s registration with Singapore’s Ministry of Law as a regulated dealer took effect, with issuing, redeeming and dealing in asset-backed tokens (ESPG digital gold) as its registered activities², taking Hong Kong’s financial innovation into the ASEAN market.
The forum’s second day, the Agentic Economy Summit, looks at how tokenised assets and digital money are changing the way value moves, the question Esperanza’s business is built around. Esperanza plans to connect ESPG with its tokenised investment products over time, so that gold can serve as a unit of settlement as well as for value preservation.
“Gold is the one asset every market already agrees on, yet it is still hard to use,” said Ronald Leung, Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Esperanza. “ESPG is designed for that gap: units a person can build up gradually and move between verified accounts, with a physical bar at the end of it. CVCF gives us the chance to show investors how a product built under Hong Kong’s regulatory framework can travel to other markets, starting with Singapore.”
