The Fund has launched and completed subscription. Subject to regulatory approval, tokenized investment will be supported.
(Hong Kong, December, 2025) Esperanza Fintech (Securities) Limited ("EF Securities") today announced the successful launch of an investment fund themed around the Hong Kong entertainment industry (the "Fund"). EF Securities has submitted an application to the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC) to tokenize the relevant fund interests. The Fund’s underlying investment relates to the economic interests in Vic Teo’s (張與辰) New Year’s Eve concert "The Novara Ball", scheduled to be held on December 31, 2025. Fund investors will be entitled to participate in the net proceeds derived from concert ticket sales and sponsorship income, after deduction of costs.
Mr. Ronald Leung, solicitor and Managing Director of ESPE Capital Solutions said: "Many capital market investors wish to access investments in the cultural and entertainment sector. Traditionally, however, challenges include layers of intermediaries, non-transparent cost structures, and high investment thresholds. Esperanza, as a co-organizer of the concert, enables investors to directly participate in the concert’s core economic interests through a special-purpose investment fund structure. At the same time, the Fund leverages financial technology to significantly lower investment thresholds, shorten subscription processes, and optimize the subsequent transfer mechanisms of Fund units."
EF Securities has submitted an application to the SFC relating to the fund interest tokenization of this Fund. In parallel, EF Securities has completed the infrastructure building of the legal, tax, and token trading system, enabling full end-to-end support across the entire value chain—from token issuance and subscription to post-issuance over-the-counter (OTC) trading.
Upon regulatory approval, EF Securities will issue the corresponding tokens to Fund units, providing investors a convenient, transparent, and liquid tokenized investment instrument, with OTC trading arrangements facilitated by EF Securities.
Mr. Tony Chang, Deputy CEO of Esperanza Fintech (Hong Kong) Limited, added: "While there are already numerous proof-of-concept initiatives in the tokenization space, there are three key elements for tokenized investments to become prevalent scarcity of the underlying assets / projects, return feasibility, and strong community participation. EF Securities is therefore focusing initially on short-cycle, high-public-engagement cultural and entertainment assets, including concerts, film investments, and IP (intellectual property) applications, supported by rigorous project due diligence to safeguard investment returns. We have already signed multiple concert projects involving Hong Kong and Korean artists, which are expected to be launched progressively in the first half of 2026."
The successful implementation of this project not only opens up a new, compliant source of capital for the cultural and entertainment industry, but also establishes a benchmark for the real-economy application of financial technology and digitalization in Hong Kong, enabling Asian investors to participate in high-quality projects worldwide in a secure and compliant manner.
Context and qualifications
On 18 December 2025, Esperanza Securities published a press release concerning an entertainment-themed fund whose underlying investment related to the economic interests of The Novara Ball concert.
The release said the concert was scheduled for 31 December 2025 and that fund investors would participate in net ticket-sales and sponsorship proceeds after costs. Those rights remain defined by the fund documents rather than this summary.
Esperanza said the fund had launched and completed subscription. It separately said an application had been submitted to the Securities and Futures Commission concerning tokenization of the fund interests.
The company described legal, tax, issuance, subscription and post-issuance trading infrastructure, together with a proposed over-the-counter transfer arrangement. Token issuance and those proposed features remained conditional on regulatory approval at publication.
The release positioned short-cycle cultural and entertainment projects as an initial focus and referred to further Hong Kong and Korean concert projects expected in 2026. That pipeline language is not evidence that every named project launched or produced a return.
The source expressly states that it is for reference and is not investment advice, an offer, solicitation or recommendation. Current availability, eligibility, terms, risks and performance cannot be inferred from the dated launch record.
